Moneyball is a brilliantly executed sports drama. The film is helmed by Bennett Miller who previously directed Capote. Moneyball is an incredible true story. The film boasts a great cast and some wonderful performances on behalf of Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill. I very much enjoyed Jonah Hill in this film because he has matured greatly as an actor, and he proves that hew can do a serious film as well as a comedy. Moneyball is a terrific drama film, and Brad Pitt delivers one of his strongest performances. This is a wonderful film, and this one of the best baseball films to come out in quite some time. The film takes its time to tell the story, but it succeeds at telling a good, engaging story that the audience cares about. 2011 has been a year with minimal Oscar consideration, as the year has produced many bad films, and not so memorable films. However if there is one film that should considered for an Oscar, Moneyball should be that film. The film is powerful, has tremendous performances and a memorable and effective story. This is one of the year's best films. Moneyball is a brilliant drama film that has an engaging and powerful story. Director Bennett Miller follows up his equally brilliant Capote with Moneyball and considering that this is his second effort, he shows that he has the ability to craft a terrific piece of cinema. Moneyball should definitely get some Oscar buzz, as this is one of the best films that I have seen this year. A riveting, engaging film that is a totally new and refreshing sports drama film. A must see for fans of the game, or people who enjoy a good true underdog story.
