WHEN Shaun and Lucy Wilson tied the knot in Beverley, they wanted a wedding entrance with a difference.
Their aim was to dance down the St Nicholas Church aisle to break the ice and create a relaxed atmosphere for family and friends.
However, the dance moves have not only proved a hit with wedding guests, they have attracted fans all over the world.
Since the video, featuring the rocking reverend Jonathan Evans, was featured in the Mail, the number of views on website YouTube has rocketed from 600 to more than 7,300.
It has even been covered by media as far away as America.
Mr Wilson, of Beverley, said: "It's gone all over in the national newspapers and even on news websites in America. Even John Prescott and Phillip Schofield have tweeted about it.
"It's really weird. We didn't do it for 15 minutes of fame. It was just for family and friends to break the ice and create a real celebration.
"But since we featured in the Mail, the number of views has been unbelievable."
The idea of the dance was kept secret from the congregation.
The first they knew about it was when the bridal march cut into dance song Let's Get Married by Jagged Edge.
Mr Wilson then launched into the robot dance ? made famous by footballer Peter Crouch ? while the bridesmaids danced down the aisle.
It finished with Reverend Jonathan Evans, sporting a pair of black sunglasses, clicking his fingers to the music.
Mr Wilson, 27, said: "I was more worried about the wedding vows than the dance.
"It was the reverend who gave us the idea about the wedding entrance. He told us about a similar one in America and, after a think, we decided to give it a go.
"He was brilliant and seemed to love the idea."
The robot dance is not a new dance move for Mr Wilson.
He said: "I got the idea a few years ago when Peter Crouch did it for England when he scored.
"I call it the Wilbot and do it quite a lot when I go out. Lucy and I have robot dancing competitions as well, which I usually win.
"I also did a skydive three years ago in Lincolnshire in which I was filmed with the instructor doing the robot coming down from 15,000ft."
The dancing down the aisle proved a great final wedding for Reverend Evans, who has now moved to Hoddesdon in Hertfordshire.
